Each year there are surveys that determine the most critical shortage areas in advance of the 2019-2020 teacher hiring season.\u00a0 Those shortages show that Science remains at the top of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fldoe.org\/core\/fileparse.php\/18727\/urlt\/CTSAreasReport.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Florida teacher shortage list<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The list goes on to show the following critical teacher shortages &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Science &#8211; General<\/li>\n<li>English<\/li>\n<li>Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)<\/li>\n<li>Science &#8211; Physical<\/li>\n<li>Reading<\/li>\n<li>Technical Education<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional Student Education (ESE)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We continue to work with Florida leaders to help alleviate the critical teaching shortages &#8211; but it is a challenge.\u00a0 More to come&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Science Teachers are still the most critical teachers needed in Florida schools.
