This is <strong>BIG NEWS<\/strong> because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgemi.com\/talent-education\/amid-literacy-crisis-michigans-school-librarians-have-all-disappeared\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">92% of schools in Michigan don\u2019t have full-time librarians.<\/a> Until now, to get a Library Media endorsement, teachers were required to obtain a master\u2019s degree in library science or library and information science. Our Program now allows any future school librarian with a bachelor\u2019s degree in Library Science, or related subject area approved by the state, to gain a Library Media endorsement through the Teachers of Tomorrow program in a fraction of the time and cost \u2013 without sacrificing curriculum quality!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>When is it happening?<\/h2>\n<p>Now! Teachers of Tomorrow applied for approval to add Library Media as an endorsement area when the opportunity became available earlier in 2021. After a lengthy process, we are proud to say Library Media has now been added to the list of endorsements we offer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Who qualifies?<\/h2>\n<p>Those with a bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in library science, or related subject area approved by the state, are eligible to obtain an endorsement in Library Media.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How do I pursue this area?<\/h2>\n<p>To pursue this endorsement area, start by notifying a Michigan Teachers of Tomorrow program advisor at <a href=\"mailto:teach@michiganteachers.org\">teach@michiganteachers.org<\/a>. They will provide you with the steps you need to take to begin your journey.
