It was a really productive week.<\/p>\n<p>And this weekend- there was an article emphasizing why we need to be in Georgia to help with teacher shortages &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Teacher Shortage Hits Central Georgia<a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/TlDH6N\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> according to local news<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Houston County still needs 30 positions<\/li>\n<li>Bibb County still needs 90 positions to fill<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The University of Georgia graduated 140 less teachers from its programs last years compared to five years ago. This trend is continuing and Georgia has solid alternative certification.
