And school starts in 2 weeks!\u00a0The tally is pretty bad &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hillsborough is still short over 500 teachers<\/li>\n<li>Polk needs 250 new teachers<\/li>\n<li>Sarasota has already hired 300 teachers but has 110 teacher vacancies still<\/li>\n<li>Manatee needs 83<\/li>\n<li>Pasco needs 77<\/li>\n<li>Hernando needs 29<\/li>\n<li>Bay County up in Panama City is offering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wjhg.com\/content\/news\/One-of-Bay-Countys-largest-employers-looking-to-hire--388886262.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$5,000 bonuses<\/a> to fill 150 positions it still has open<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now we just were approved as an Educator Preparation Institute in Florida and are now actively recruiting potential teachers. We have already had over 50 new applicants come into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.floridateachers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida Teachers of Tomorrow<\/a>!
