An IPTI program is an alternative route for teacher certification and the initial step toward obtaining your Alternative Resident Educator License. Ohio Teachers of Tomorrow offers an online and on-demand IPTI for you to meet state requirements to continue your teacher certification journey.

Certificate of completion provided to qualify for your Alternative Resident Educator License through the Ohio Department of Education.

Submit your confirmation registration letter

Candidates must have an official confirmation registration letter in order to enroll in our program. To receive your confirmation registration letter from the Ohio Department of Education, you must complete the following steps:
Request an evaluation to begin the Alternative Resident Educator Licensure pathway (provided by the Ohio Department of Education).
Take and pass content test(s) as outlined in your evaluation.
Request your confirmation registration letter (provided by the Ohio Department of Education).

for more information on how to receive your confirmation registration letter. After completing the steps above with the Ohio Department of Education, you will be qualified to enroll in the Ohio Teachers of Tomorrow IPTI.

The Ohio Department of Education issues the confirmation registration letter once you have met all the requirements listed in the Alternative Resident Educator evaluation. You can find instructions on how to request one of those on the Ohio Department of Education webiste.
There is no set start date for the IPTI. The day your enrollment is made is your start date and your expiration date is set 6 months after that.
We do not offer payment plans or financial aid for our IPTI. The total cost must be paid in full at the time of enrollment with Ohio Teachers of Tomorrow.
You have up to six months after you enroll with Ohio Teachers of Tomorrow to complete the IPTI training coursework. The coursework is on-demand, and the rate at which you complete the training depends on how quickly you submit each assignment for grading.
A valid confirmation registration letter provided by the Ohio Department of Education can be submitted directly to our Enrollment Department at enroll@ohioteachers.org.
