Right now is the perfect time to start our program and complete your Pre-Serice Training requirements in order to land your dream job this fall. When you complete your Pre-Service Training, you will become eligible to teach!
As required by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE), all candidates seeking Educatore Licensure must take and pass the CORE exam. The specific exam you take will depend on which area you are seeking licensure.Test preparation is an essential component to helping you prepare for the classroom. We encourage you to register and secure your testing date as soon as possible, as many testing centers have limited availability and are operating at reduced capacity. Even if you are not yet prepared to take your test, register for it now.
Finish all pre-service courses listed in the Training Progress section of your Intern Portal to keep track of your progress. You must complete all courses listed under the ‘Required Courses’ tab.
In order to become eligible to teach, it is required by the Indiana Department of Education that you obtain your Youth Suicide Prevention Certificate and your CPR/AED/Heimlich Certificate*.
YOUTH SUICIDE PREVENTION PROVIDERS CPR PROVIDERS
*Effective April 14, 2020, candidates may be issued their Transition to Teaching Permit without earning a CPR/AED/Heimlich Certificate, granted all other program requirements are met. This temporary allowance by the Indiana Department of Education is in place due to in-person facility closures. We encourage you to pursue a blended CPR training option.
