During this first year, you will lead your own classroom as a full-time teacher. Your district-assigned on-campus mentor will provide support and answer questions.

During the first year of teaching, teacher candidates will perform observations of another teacher’s classroom or online. In order to start teaching, it is required that they do 9 hours of this.

How long does it take to become a certified teacher with Teachers of Tomorrow?

Most candidates of Arizona Teachers of Tomorrow are able to complete the course in 1-3 months. However, due to the self-paced nature of the program, the length it takes to complete is up to you. There’s no need to worry about missing a due date or deadline either! The flexibility of this program allows you to do what’s best for your schedule.

What are the requirements to become a teacher in Arizona?

In order to become a teacher in Arizona, individuals must have obtained their bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. They must also complete a teacher certification program. This can come in the form of a traditional program, or an alternative teacher certification program like Arizona Teachers of Tomorrow. Can I become a high school teacher through this program?
