To enroll in the program, you must receive a Statement of Eligibility (SOE) from the Florida Department of Education. This document allows you to enroll in the Florida Teachers program and begin searching for teaching jobs.
To become eligible for hire, you must also complete your Classroom Readiness Training, consisting of both teacher training coursework and Field-Based Experiences, which are reflective classroom observations of an EC-12 setting.
With your Statement of Eligibility (SOE), you may become hired in the subject area you are pursuing. Once you have been hired with an ‘Eligible’ Statement of Eligibility, you must apply for your Temporary Certificate Florida Department of Education.
