To become eligible to teach, you must first complete your Classroom Readiness Training, consisting of both teacher training coursework and Field-Based Experiences, which are reflective classroom observations of an EC-12 setting.
With your Statement of Eligibility (SOE), you may become hired in the subject area you are pursuing. Once you have been hired with an ‘Eligible’ Statement of Eligibility, you must apply for your Temporary Certificate Florida Department of Education.
