WHEN CAN I START?

You can start as soon as possible. We offer rolling admissions.

WHAT IF MY GPA IS BELOW 2.5?

WHAT IS A GARNISHMENT WAIVER?

The Garnishment Waiver is a state-required document. If you provide more than one-half the support for a child or other dependent, all or part of your income is exempt from garnishment under Florida Law. You can waive this protection only by signing this document. To start the program, this document will need to be signed.

Statement of Eligibility (SOE) and Teaching Certificates

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A STATEMENT OF ELIGIBILITY AND A TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE?

A Statement of Eligibility is not a certificate. The Florida Department of Education lists out all requirements to be issued both a Temporary Certificate and a Professional Certificate. A temporary certificate is the document you receive once you have been hired and hold an Eligible SOE.

WHAT IF MY STATEMENT OF ELIGIBILITY SAYS ‘NOT ELIGIBLE’?

If your Statement of Eligibility reflects a ‘Not Eligible’ status, it is recommended that you take your Subject Area Exam, as passing this will aid in eligibility.

WHEN DO I GET MY PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE?

You will get your Professional Certificate once you have completed the program, passed all state required exams and created a FEAPS Portfolio.

DOES THIS CERTIFICATE TRANSFER TO OTHER STATES?

Certification requirements vary state to state. To determine the reciprocation policies and procedures, please contact the state’s department of education.

WHAT IS THE CG-10 APPLICATION?

The CG-10 is the $75.00 application that you send to the Florida Department of Education to receive your Statement of Eligibility.
