Governor Whitmer announces Executive Order 2020-35, suspending all in-person instruction in Michigan K-12 schools through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year
Pearson VUE testing centers announce they will remain closed through April 30, 2020
Michigan Department of Education releases MEMO #COVID-19-040, which allows candidates without a completed First Aid/CPR course to be issued an initial teacher certification, provided all other requirements are met
Michigan Department of Education releases MEMO #COVID-19-041, which allows candidates who have not passed a Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC), and are employed for the 2019-2020 academic year, to apply for a daily substitute permit and use instructional days taught on that permit (so long as the candidate qualifies and is issued an Interim Teaching Certificate (ITC) in the same endorsement area), toward the 450 day time-taught requirement

- Log into your Intern Portal and complete your training.
- If you’re currently on an ITC or daily substitute permit, request a letter on district letterhead from campus administration, with the amount of instructional days you’ve worked during the 2019-2020 school year.
