Our teacher training program offers a research-based curriculum focused on preparing the teachers of tomorrow. Comprehensive Training in Two Phases


South Carolina Teachers coursework is divided into two phases. Phase I: Classroom Readiness Training is completed before entering the classroom and consists of teacher training coursework and Field-Based Experience (FBE) hours. FBE hours are introductory classroom experiences that involve reflective observation of EC-12 students, teachers, and campus staff members engaging in educational activities in a school setting. Phase II: Excellence in Teaching and Learning is completed during your Internship Year. The specific coursework is dependent upon the state standards required for your desired area of certification.
