Job Teacher Fair

The South Carolina Teacher Expo is a one-day job fair designed to match teacher candidates to current and anticipated district vacancies. The Expo attracts jobseekers from across the United States and several foreign countries. This year’s Expo will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds in Columbia, SC.

The South Carolina Teacher Expo is open to certified teachers, recent college graduates of teacher education programs, and applicants who have applied to and met admission criteria for an approved alternative certification program in South Carolina. This year’s Expo is open to candidates from all subject areas.

The list above is subject to change. District recruiters will continue registering through mid-February 2020. CERRA does not make any guarantee that recruiters from the districts listed will attend the Expo.

2020 Agenda:
9:30 – 10:00 – Participant check-in
10:00 – 12:30 – Participants visit district booths. Interviews scheduled
12:30 – 1:00 – Lunch break (lunch not provided)
​1:00 – 4:00 – Pre-scheduled interviews / Participants will not be able to visit district booths unless they have a scheduled interview.

Items To Bring:

​You should bring multiple copies of each document; a copying machine will not be available on site.

  • Academic transcripts
  • Teaching Certificate*, if currently certified in South Carolina or any other state
  • Letter of Eligibility, if issued by the SC Dept. of Education, due to pending certification status (Teachers of Tomorrow, CATE, etc.)
  • Driver’s License, Social Security card, or other proof of U.S. Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Resume
