Only after completing our internal complaint resolution process, individuals may submit a complaint to the Texas Education Agency (TEA), per TAC §228.70. The TEA process and forms are available here.
Please note: Not all complaints fall within the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) jurisdiction. TEA is authorized to investigate allegations of noncompliance with specific state and federal laws and regulations. However, TEA staff and the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) do not have authority over matters such as contractual disputes with an Educator Preparation Program (EPP), commercial issues, grade or credit appeals for training, or requests for reinstatement into an EPP.
