Texas Teacher of the Year: Jeff Wheatcraft

The Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) has announced that Jeff Wheatcraft is the 2018 Texas Teacher of the Year and the Texas Secondary Teacher of the Year. There were over 350,000 teachers in Texas, and Jeff was selected through a lengthy process as the best in the state.

Mr. Wheatcraft is a Middle School Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math teacher at Alamo Heights Junior School in San Antonio. He wants to encourage others to become teachers through Alternative Certification Programs, because these teachers bring a level of understanding and real-world application to the classroom.
