Teaching with Purpose
Angel’s own experience with dyslexia inspired her to become a teacher.
“I know the struggle students with learning disabilities go through. I wanted to help them learn in different ways to build confidence and success.”

She found that Teachers of Tomorrow gave her the flexibility to pursue certification while working:
“I was an instructional assistant and didn’t want to quit my job for student teaching. ToT gave me the path to get certified on my own time.”

Learning by Moving
Angel’s creative methods help students understand difficult concepts:
“To teach negative and positive numbers, I had students move: right for positive, left for negative. It helped them visualize graphing through movement.”

Her focus today is on helping students show growth—not just pass tests.

Why She Teaches
Angel is inspired every time her students have breakthroughs.
“I love seeing the light go on when they understand something—and the confidence that follows.”

Her advice to future teachers?
“Be patient, flexible, and open-minded. Every child learns differently. Sometimes failing and fixing is better than a perfect plan. Always be willing to learn.”
