Teaches: 2nd Grade – All Subjects
State: Texas
Program Completed: 2025
A Late Start, A Lasting Impact
Courtney’s path to the classroom began when she became a mother and was offered a role as a preschool teacher. That opportunity uncovered her passion.
“Once I got into a classroom, I discovered my love for teaching and helping children realize their potential and identify their special gifts.”
She credits Teachers of Tomorrow for helping her reach her goal later in life:
“It helped me by preparing me for the standards and expectations of the state.”
Moments That Matter
Courtney recalls one sweet memory that solidified her sense of purpose:
“Completing my first year as a kindergarten teacher and successfully putting on the graduation ceremony. It was such a sweet event and the parents were so gracious. I cried!”
Driven by Compassion
Courtney is fueled by a desire to be a source of positivity and care for her students.
“I want to be the best teacher I can be for them. I want to be a voice of encouragement and positivity.”
Her goal is to be remembered as the teacher who truly loved and cared for her students.
Her advice?
“Finding a good classroom management system is so important. Having the kids help set expectations and referring back to that contract really helps. We are a family. We are a team.”
Thank You, Courtney
