As a veteran, I love the new Forever GI Bill and really love the new pilot on non-college program providers. Unfortunately it is just for tech programs but, if it works, we are definitely going to push for Teacher Prep programs.
Troops to Teachers was a great program that helped so many veterans serve again by becoming teachers. It has fizzled out in most states – but could come back to life if they expand the Forever GI Bill pilot into more than just tech.
So many programs did try and rip-off Veterans – but there are ways to ensure quality and integrity AND help fill classrooms with some incredible leaders.
