Celebrating 20 Years of Educator Impact
As our “20 Years, 20 Stories” series continues, we’re excited to introduce Kristen Sibrel, a 2025 Teachers of Tomorrow graduate who now serves students in a high school special education classroom. Kristen’s path to teaching was fueled by her belief that every student deserves a chance to succeed—especially those who need to work a little harder to get there.

“Texas Teachers gave me the tools I needed to start my career off on the right foot.”

Prepared for the Classroom
Kristen reflects fondly on how supported and ready she felt—even as a new teacher.
“I was able to be teacher of record while working toward my standard certificate because Texas Teachers equipped me for success.”

She quickly learned how resilient her students could be when given the right encouragement—and that became her fuel.
