Graphic Designer (Contract)

Position Summary (Contract Position)

The Marketing Designer will produce and oversee digital and print creative solutions to address our marketing needs.

To be successful in this role, you must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design techniques for both print and web. You should have extensive experience executing marketing projects from concept to production, including websites, brochures, tradeshow experiences, social media campaigns, and video.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all design projects, from conception to delivery
  • Design original pieces, including icons, illustrations, and infographics
  • Refine images, fonts and layouts using Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services
  • Manage content and increase user experience in digital products including websites, social media, digital advertising and display ads
  • Maintain established corporate branding throughout all projects
  • Conduct meetings with marketing and executive teams to ensure effective requirements are gathered and deadlines are met
  • Create and edit assets with Adobe Suite
  • Coordinate with vendors such as printers, videographers, publications, online influencers and web developers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, tools and techniques

Candidate Profile and Experience Prerequisites

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud design programs–primarily InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Intermediate knowledge of preparing forms with Acrobat Pro and creating assets with and Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and WordPress CMS
  • Self-driven, goal oriented active learner.
  • Team oriented approach and personality.
  • Must be able to legally work in any US company without sponsorship.
  • Must be a Texas resident

Marketing Internship

Texas Teachers of Tomorrow is providing opportunity for recent college and university graduates to gain supervised practical marketing experience. The selected student will be supporting the marketing department with branding, marketing, website development, communications, social media, etc.

 

Location: Houston, Texas Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • B2C Marketing – Assist Marketing Director with tactical execution of marketing programs. As a key part of the Teachers of Tomorrow marketing team, a selected student will gain valuable insight into business-to-business sales support, customer support programs, digital initiatives (supporting TeachersofTomorrow.com), print collateral projects, public relations, and trade show / event marketing.
  • Consumer Marketing – the selected student may work on advertising, public relations and other communications projects including updating web site content, editing and coordinating distribution of email newsletters, communicating with internal customers and outside vendors, creating customer presentations, coordinating engine and other photography, compiling marketing research data, developing new products and new product introductions and other projects.
  • Service Marketing – Support marketing activities including product development, market and competitive research, literature creation, online content management, spreadsheet design, sales tracking and trade show preparation.
  • BSPP Marketing – the selective student will help develop various point-of-purchase materials, update web site content, do store walks to update/maintain comp shops for various product categories/retailers, coordinate product/application photo shoots, and assist with trade show planning; the student will be expected to work closely with TOT sales team and external vendors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexible duration Sept – Dec
  • Good working knowledge of computer software.
  • Candidates should have a long-term interest in specified function.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess poise and the ability to interact with people in a professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelors/Associates degree
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0.
  • Hands-on work experience in specified function is helpful.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Field Supervisor

Texas Teachers’ Field Supervisors are former superintendents, administrators, and directors with more than 15 years of experience, who have had distinguished and successful teaching careers of their own. These experts in the education field are carefully selected, screened, and trained, with each one possessing the qualifications to support new teachers. The Field Supervisor’s main goal is to increase and enhance individual teacher effectiveness by providing interns support, guidance, oral and written feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit observation reports to Texas Teachers by set deadlines.
  • Document observations on electronic portal.
  • Provide constructive and relevant feedback on classroom observations.
  • Communicate with Texas Teachers staff, district/campus administrators on teachers’ progress and performance.
  • Review electronic portal for additions, updates and deadlines.
  • Offer emotional support by listening, encouraging and sharing experiences.
  • Provide remediation for interns experiencing problems via field experience.
  • Help interns navigate Intern Portal on Texas Teachers website.
  • Create a partnership with intern and administrator.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Candidate Profile

  • Must hold a valid Educator certificate in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 15 years teaching experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years administrative experience.
  • Must be willing to commute within 50 miles.
  • Must have flexible schedule.
  • Must be proficient in basic technology skills including but not limited to email, Microsoft Word, scanning documents, PDF files, etc.
  • T-TESS Certified preferred.
