Marketing Internship

Texas Teachers of Tomorrow is providing college and university students the opportunity to gain supervised practical marketing experience. The selected student will be supporting the marketing department with branding, marketing, website development, communications, social media, etc.

 

Location: Houston, Texas Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • B2C Marketing – Assist Marketing Director with tactical execution of marketing programs. As a key part of the Teachers of Tomorrow marketing team, a selected student will gain valuable insight into business-to-business sales support, customer support programs, digital initiatives (supporting TeachersofTomorrow.com), print collateral projects, public relations, and trade show / event marketing.
  • Consumer Marketing – the selected student may work on advertising, public relations and other communications projects including updating web site content, editing and coordinating distribution of email newsletters, communicating with internal customers and outside vendors, creating customer presentations, coordinating engine and other photography, compiling marketing research data, developing new products and new product introductions and other projects.
  • Service Marketing – Support marketing activities including product development, market and competitive research, literature creation, online content management, spreadsheet design, sales tracking and trade show preparation.
  • BSPP Marketing – the selective student will help develop various point-of-purchase materials, update web site content, do store walks to update/maintain comp shops for various product categories/retailers, coordinate product/application photo shoots, and assist with trade show planning; the student will be expected to work closely with TOT sales team and external vendors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good working knowledge of computer software.

  • Possess poise and the ability to interact with people in a professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, problem-solving and analysis skills.

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a Bachelors/Associates degree in specified function.
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0.
  • Hands-on work experience in specified function is helpful.
  • Flexible duration May – Aug.

Program Advisor

Texas Teachers’ Program Advisor is responsible for providing superior customer service to all applicants and/or candidate students who are enrolled in Texas Teachers. These experts are required to have a bachelors degree, be enthusiastic, have a strong work ethic, and must be able to work well individually or on a team, in a professional manner. You must be a problem solver who can effectively prioritize and manage your time through your calendar, allowing you to juggle a lot at once.

 

Please note, these are full-time positions, and require mandatory overtime during busy season (June – August)

 

Location: Houston, Texas Office

Key Responsibilities

  • The Program Advisor is responsible for providing superior customer service to all applicants and/or candidate students who are enrolled in Texas Teachers.
  • Responsible for having detailed knowledge of the certification process and providing educational guidance, encouragement, and assistance to potential and current candidates.
  • Responsible for recommending options and determining appropriate solutions which are compatible with the candidate’s goal of becoming a teacher.
  • In addition to providing top-notch customer support, you will also be responsible for problem-solving, overcoming objections, and having challenging conversations with candidates in order to progress them through the program to completion.
  • Gain expertise about the certification program, state requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Be able to manage a large volume of inbound/outbound calls, emails, live chats, social media, and walk-ins which requires prioritizing tasks and thoroughly document candidate interactions in a database.
  • Process mailed and electronic transcripts, maintain test uploads and approvals, train new hires, and perform additional clerical/administrative duties as directed by leadership.

  • Must be able to legally work in any US company without sponsorship.

Field Supervisor

Texas Teachers’ Field Supervisors are former superintendents, administrators, and directors with more than 15 years of experience, who have had distinguished and successful teaching careers of their own. These experts in the education field are carefully selected, screened, and trained, with each one possessing the qualifications to support new teachers. The Field Supervisor’s main goal is to increase and enhance individual teacher effectiveness by providing interns support, guidance, oral and written feedback.

 

Location: Texas

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit observation reports to Texas Teachers by set deadlines.
  • Document observations on electronic portal.
  • Provide constructive and relevant feedback on classroom observations.
  • Communicate with Texas Teachers staff, district/campus administrators on teachers’ progress and performance.
  • Review electronic portal for additions, updates and deadlines.
  • Offer emotional support by listening, encouraging and sharing experiences.
  • Provide remediation for interns experiencing problems via field experience.
  • Help interns navigate Intern Portal on Texas Teachers website.
  • Create a partnership with intern and administrator.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Candidate Profile

  • Must hold a valid Educator certificate in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 15 years teaching experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years administrative experience.
  • Must be willing to commute within 50 miles.
  • Must have flexible schedule.
  • Must be proficient in basic technology skills including but not limited to email, Microsoft Word, scanning documents, PDF files, etc.
  • T-TESS Certified preferred.
