Marketing Internship - 2020

Texas Teachers of Tomorrow is providing opportunity for recent college and university graduates to gain supervised practical marketing experience. The selected student will be supporting the marketing department with branding, marketing, website development, communications, social media, etc.


Location: Houston


  • B2C Marketing – Assist Marketing Director with tactical execution of marketing programs. As a key part of the Teachers of Tomorrow marketing team, a selected student will gain valuable insight into business-to-business sales support, customer support programs, digital initiatives (supporting, print collateral projects, public relations, and trade show / event marketing.
  • Consumer Marketing – the selected student may work on advertising, public relations and other communications projects including updating web site content, editing and coordinating distribution of email newsletters, communicating with internal customers and outside vendors, creating customer presentations, coordinating engine and other photography, compiling marketing research data, developing new products and new product introductions and other projects.
  • Service Marketing – Support marketing activities including product development, market and competitive research, literature creation, online content management, spreadsheet design, sales tracking and trade show preparation.
  • BSPP Marketing – the selective student will help develop various point-of-purchase materials, update web site content, do store walks to update/maintain comp shops for various product categories/retailers, coordinate product/application photo shoots, and assist with trade show planning; the student will be expected to work closely with TOT sales team and external vendors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Candidate Profile

  • Flexible duration Jan – May or May – Aug 2020
  • Good working knowledge of computer software.
  • Candidates should have a long-term interest in the specified functions.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess poise and the ability to interact with people in a professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelors/Associates degree
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0.
  • Hands-on work experience in a specified function is helpful.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Marketing Media Internship - 2020

Do you want an internship with a bigger purpose? Texas Teachers of Tomorrow is providing an opportunity for recent college and university graduates to gain supervised practical marketing experience. Our team is looking for someone who will bring creativity to the table and who will take initiative to contribute to Teachers of Tomorrow wide range of national clientele. The intern will help develop, produce and edit photos and video content alongside the marketing team while supporting daily marketing tasks. We are looking for a candidate with professionalism, strong attention to detail, the ability to take direction on projects and a creative spirit. This internship is PAID and, we will consider employment for the right candidate. Undergraduates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting with the photography, video, and audio production of future marketing campaigns
  • Work with art-director on video development, editing, and production
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of marketing collateral
  • Post to social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube) across multiple accounts
  • Support daily marketing tasks including website management


Candidate Profile

  • Available Jan – May or May – Aug 2020 – Paid
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, mainly Premiere Pro and Photoshop
  • Experience video, photography, and marketing (1 year)
  • Experience Social Media: Preferred 1 year
  • Familiarity with After Effects Software and WordPress
  • A motivated self-starter with a passion for creating video content
  • Experience in web management
  • Professional or personal experience with social media platforms i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Willing to travel within the designated territory (Houston, TX) as needed
  • Proficient in using Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage time
  • Motivated and professional with a strong teamwork ethic, positive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • provide your own camera equipment (preferred)

Field Supervisor

Texas Teachers’ Field Supervisors are former superintendents, administrators, and directors with more than 15 years of experience, who have had distinguished and successful teaching careers of their own. These experts in the education field are carefully selected, screened, and trained, with each one possessing the qualifications to support new teachers. The Field Supervisor’s main goal is to increase and enhance individual teacher effectiveness by providing interns support, guidance, oral and written feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit observation reports to Texas Teachers by set deadlines.
  • Document observations on electronic portal.
  • Provide constructive and relevant feedback on classroom observations.
  • Communicate with Texas Teachers staff, district/campus administrators on teachers’ progress and performance.
  • Review electronic portal for additions, updates and deadlines.
  • Offer emotional support by listening, encouraging and sharing experiences.
  • Provide remediation for interns experiencing problems via field experience.
  • Help interns navigate Intern Portal on Texas Teachers website.
  • Create a partnership with intern and administrator.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Candidate Profile

  • Must hold a valid Educator certificate in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 15 years teaching experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years administrative experience.
  • Must be willing to commute within 50 miles.
  • Must have flexible schedule.
  • Must be proficient in basic technology skills including but not limited to email, Microsoft Word, scanning documents, PDF files, etc.
  • T-TESS Certified preferred.
