Creative Copywriter

Teachers of Tomorrow seeks a full-time Creative Copywriter that will be responsible for researching and creating content for our website, blogs, ad campaigns, marketing materials, social media platform, email campaigns, newsletters, video scripts, publications, internal communications, and other collateral. The Creative Copywriter will work with the marketing team on a variety of national and local branding projects depending on the needs of the company. This position will support multiple departments in developing content for internal and external marketing assets. The right person for this role must be goal-oriented with demonstrate written communication skills, design skills, and the ability to use advertising capabilities to promote company growth. They must be an extroverted and enthusiastic communicator with people of all levels in the organization. We are looking for a candidate that will flourish in a small company environment and enjoys the versatility and flexibility necessary to succeed therein.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing Director, design team and various dept. representatives to handle daily writing and editing needs.
  • Develop and lead the company’s internal communications.
  • Write video scripts and conduct interviews in case study videos. (will provide on the job training)
  • Write online advertising for external and growth campaigns.
  • Provide rapid feedback and copy editing to stakeholders as needed.
  • Create concise marketing language for our experiences to help position Teachers of Tomorrow as a forward-thinking, unique, intelligent, innovative company ready to solve our clients’ business challenges.
  • Develop content for national and local marketing that is consistent with the company’s brand messaging.
  • Provide rapid feedback and copy editing to stakeholders, as needed.
  • Must be able to conceptualize copy and content from scratch, as well as make existing copy stronger and more compelling.
  • Lead the proofing process.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Advertising, Communication or related fields.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience writing a variety of content for both consumer and B2B audiences.
  • Strong problem solving and creative concept skills with the ability to work independently and as well as within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage content on several different social media outlets.
  • A strong ability for communication strategy and an eye for the long-term scalability of content decisions.
  • Ability to conceptualize and write content that may focus on nuanced technical concepts relevant to development, design, finance, and project/product management.
  • Ability to interface with many internal stakeholders as well as external clients for ad hoc content projects.
  • Must have a strong understanding of the components of compelling, action-inducing communications.

  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional grammar and command of the English language.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to manage and complete deadlines within a small corporate office environment.

Marketing Internship - 2020

Texas Teachers of Tomorrow is providing the opportunity for a recent college and university graduate to gain supervised practical marketing experience. The selected student will be supporting the marketing department with branding, marketing, website development, communications, social media, and other collateral.

 

Location: Houston

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • B2C Marketing – Assist Marketing Director with tactical execution of marketing programs. As a key part of the Teachers of Tomorrow marketing team, a selected student will gain valuable insight into business-to-business sales support, customer support programs, digital initiatives (supporting TeachersofTomorrow.com), print collateral projects, public relations, and trade show / event marketing.
  • Consumer Marketing – the selected student may work on advertising, public relations and other communications projects including updating web site content, editing and coordinating distribution of email newsletters, communicating with internal customers and outside vendors, creating customer presentations, coordinating engine and other photography, compiling marketing research data, developing new products and new product introductions and other projects.
  • Service Marketing – Support marketing activities including product development, market, and competitive research, literature creation, online content management, spreadsheet design, sales tracking, and trade show preparation.
  • BSPP Marketing – the selective student will help develop various point-of-purchase materials, update web site content, do store walks to update/maintain comp shops for various product categories/retailers, coordinate product/application photoshoots, and assist with trade show planning; the student will be expected to work closely with TOT sales team and external vendors.

Marketing Media Internship - 2020

Do you want an internship with a purpose? Texas Teachers of Tomorrow is providing an opportunity for a recent college and university graduate to gain supervised practical marketing experience. Our team is looking for someone who will bring creativity to the table, and who will contribute to Teachers of Tomorrow’s wide range of national clientele. The intern will help develop, produce and edit photos/video content alongside the marketing team while supporting daily marketing tasks. We are looking for a candidate with professionalism, strong attention to detail, the ability to take initiative on projects, and a creative spirit. This internship is PAID. Undergraduates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting with the photography, video, and audio production of future marketing campaigns
  • Work with art-director on video development, editing, and production
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of marketing collateral
  • Post to social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube) across multiple accounts
  • Support daily marketing tasks including website management

 

Candidate Profile

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, mainly Premiere Pro and Photoshop

Curriculum and Instruction Manager

The Curriculum Manager is responsible for developing and promoting best practices in pedagogy, active learning and instructional design methodologies in the design of online and blended courses. The Curriculum Manager collaborates with internal partners and subject matter consultants to use his or her independent judgment to design and implement critical instructional strategies to deliver courses in multiple modalities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. In coordination with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction:
    Analyze, prepare, determine, and supervise the development of training content based on research, individual state standards and InTASC standards, including,
    • Support subject area teams in the creation of content and professional development materials for certification training in conjunction with the Director of Curriculum, state expansion team, and management.
    • Solicit and apply feedback throughout the development process from key program team members and senior leaders.
    • Apply a curriculum planning process to design and develop content outcomes and learning activities.
  2. Create the strategy and method for evaluating candidate skills and knowledge by,
    • Determining and executing the method for qualitative and quantitative data collection.
    • Analyzing, determining, and presenting findings of key assessment data.
    • Analyzing and determining curriculum needs based on key assessments data
  3.  Monitor developments in teacher preparation standards by the state for alignment with standards revisions
  4. Supervise a team of 24 instructors and Lead Instructors
  5.  Attend weekly Curriculum team meetings and any other meetings as required

Field Supervisor

Texas Teachers’ Field Supervisors are former superintendents, administrators, and directors with more than 15 years of experience, who have had distinguished and successful teaching careers of their own. These experts in the education field are carefully selected, screened, and trained, with the goal to support our new teachers. The Field Supervisor’s main goal is to increase and enhance individual teacher effectiveness by providing interns support, guidance and constant feedback.

  • Submit observation reports to Texas Teachers by set deadlines.
  • Document observations on electronic portal.
  • Provide constructive and relevant feedback on classroom observations.
  • Communicate with Texas Teachers staff, district/campus administrators on teachers’ progress and performance.
  • Review electronic portal for additions, updates and deadlines.
  • Offer emotional support by listening, encouraging and sharing experiences.
  • Provide remediation for interns experiencing problems via field experience.
  • Help interns navigate Intern Portal on Texas Teachers website.
  • Create a partnership with intern and administrator.
