Bilingual Teachers Needed

Become a Certified Teacher

There is a huge need for bilingual teachers in Texas.

Texas has a 50% increase in the need for bilingual teachers, with only 20% of that need being met. Students throughout the state are waiting for someone like you to answer the call and become a bilingual teacher.

While Texas Teachers certifies the largest number of teachers of any Alternative Certification Program in the state, our bilingual teachers are hired most frequently.

To be eligible for our program and to be hired you will need a bachelor’s degree in any major and you will need to pass additional tests to obtain bilingual status.

Most urban districts pay bilingual teachers between $50,000 – $53,000 a year including full benefits. Many districts will also pay a $3,000-$6,000 bilingual stipend each year.
