If you were thinking teaching in China – you may want to think again. This Reuters article on the surge in arrests of foreign teachers in China is pretty scary. It seems that two things are working against teaching in China – there is a glut of teachers now and rising tensions with the U.S. are making schools and public officials more bold in detaining foreign teachers.

We had looked at working with groups in China but have never seen it really pan out for teachers. So we passed. Glad we did – this is not good for teachers who went to China to help students.
